Sacred Lakes Damodar Kund
Damodar Kunda, located at an altitude of 4890 meters, is a famous holy lake for Hindus. Situated in a remote area of Nepal near Tibet, it is believed that one should make a pilgrimage here at least once in a lifetime to take a holy bath, which absolves all sins from past and present lives. Additionally, Damodar Kunda is the primary source of the Gandaki River and an excellent place to find Shaligram. Damodar Kunda feeds multiple glacial lakes, including Brahmakunda, Rudrakunda, Anantakunda, and Damodarkunda. The damodar kunda is the biggest of all.
Saribung Pass and Peak Climbing
Saribung Peak is a 6,328m mountain located in the remote Damodar Himal, Nepal and close to the Tibetan border. It is a recently introduced mountain peak that offers trekkers the challenge of summiting a rarely-climbed peak combined with adventurous trekking in a rugged and remote region that sees few trekkers. It was opened by IFMGA (International Mountain Guide) Paulo Grobel with Himalayan Travelers Team for climbing in 2006 and since then has become a popular pass and peak for climbers looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure.
Climbing Saribung Pass and Peak requires a physical and mentally demanding effort as trekkers need to ascend steep, icy trails to pass through the Saribung pass, which is located at a height of 6042m. The trekking route traverses Upper Mustang areas along with the unspoiled Nar and Phu Valley. It is considered one of the highest passes in Nepal and requires prior mountaineering experience, fitness level, and basic technical skills.

History of Upper Mustang
The Upper Mustang Trek is a renowned cultural trek in Nepal that began in 1992. A limited number of trekkers are allowed each year to protect Tibetan tradition and the environment. This trek offers an impressive experience in the semi-arid valley of the Mustang district, located in the upper corner of the deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki, Annapurna Circuit. Trek through a semi-desert landscape with spires and cliff-top villages. Enjoy panoramic views of the Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Damodar mountain ranges.
The region is cold in winter and windy and dusty year-round. Upper Mustang was once known as the Last Forbidden Kingdom until 1992. Until 1950, Mustang was a Buddhist kingdom, with its historical capital as Lo-Manthang and the Raja, the last king of Mustang, still residing in Lo.
